The Dynamic Simulation and Comprehensive Testing Laboratory for the Mine Dust Hazard, jointly developed by Shendong Coal in collaboration with Shandong University of Science and Technology and China University of Mining and Technology, was completed and put into operation at Daliuta Coal Mine on October 12. This marks a significant step forward for Shendong Coal in the field of coal mine dust prevention and control.

Covering an area of 554.58 square meters, the laboratory consists of several specialized sections: the Dust Particle Size and Morphology Analysis Lab, the Inhalable Particulate Matter Testing Lab, the Dust Wetting Characteristics Analysis Lab, the Dust Macroscopic Physicochemical Properties Testing Lab, and the Dust Concentration and Composition Measurement Lab. Each lab is equipped with advanced experimental instruments and offers unique functions and advantages. The facility realistically recreates an intelligent underground mining face, primarily showcasing the layout of machinery and gas monitoring points in a fully mechanized mining face. It serves as a platform for mine ventilation education, safety training, and science popularization, providing employees with a practical operating environment that closely mimics real working conditions. This further establishes a “dual-use platform for both work and study”.
