As of August 13, Xinshuo Railway Power Company has successfully coordinated 23 villages along the railway routes to prune 87 trees. These efforts not only saved over RMB 40,000 compared to last year but also greatly improved the effectiveness of the corridor clearing, ensuring the stable operation of power lines and further advancing enterprise-community collaboration to a new level.
Power lines along the railway have been plagued by surrounding trees, leading to safety risks including single-phase grounding and inter-phase short-circuit faults. Due to the large number of villages along the railway and the insufficient safety awareness among villagers, annual efforts to prune and remove overgrown trees have progressed slowly.
In response, the company conducted in-depth research and analysis in the villages and explored new strategies for mutually beneficial enterprise-community collaboration. By getting support from the local government for railway transportation, and fostering strong communication and cooperative relationships, Xinshuo Railway Power Company established a framework of mutual support to address the long-standing challenges including those related to corridor clearing, effectively resolving the key difficulties. Tailored assistance plans were developed for each village, including donations for repairing agricultural bases, construction of facilities for villagers committees, and establishment of supporting community restaurants at local elderly care centers.
The company also worked closely with township governments to engage villagers and formulated practical solutions for clearing obstacles along the power lines, resolving issues with tree encroachment near power lines and achieving the goal of one cleaning for a three-year period. This initiative has greatly enhanced the safety and stability of the power line corridors, ensuring safer railway transportation operations.
