Since July, the Meteorological Bureau of Xilingol League has issued consecutive yellow warnings of heat wave, and front-line workers at Shengli Energy Open-Pit Mine have been facing extreme heat.
In response, comprehensive measures have been adopted to protect workers from the summer heat, with the company’s care and concern translated into practical support for the physical health of the employees as well as safe and civilized production. The open-pit mine’s labor union, after gathering suggestions from workers, elaborately selected and distributed eight types of medicinal supplies, including Huoxiang Zhengqi Oral Liquid, Norfloxacin Capsules, and Suxiao Jiuxin Pills, along with six types of cooling foods such as bottled water, mung bean soup, and watermelon. The cooling care was delivered to front-line workers to combat the scorching temperatures, enhancing the safety guarantee.
Meanwhile, the mine has utilized ICE working groups, WeChat groups, and electronic communication boards to disseminate heat prevention knowledge and warm tips. A home visit activity themed “Keep Cool Healthcare for Better Life” was carried out to learn about the workers’ mental well-being, introduce heat prevention knowledge, and encourage proper rest and self-care, thus ensuring production safety and employee health during the summer heat.
The labor union at Shengli Energy Open-Pit Mine has been committed to the principle of being “people-oriented and health-first”, and continuously strengthening heat prevention mechanisms. By fully promoting the “Deliver Services to the People” initiative, the labor union has significantly enhanced employees’ sense of gain, happiness, and safety, ensuring a safe, cool, and comfortable summer while contributing to the advancement of safe, civilized and high-quality production.
