On April 2, youth volunteers from Guangdong Qingyuan Power Plant visited Shakou Middle School in Yingde City to carry out power science popularization activity to further strengthen the connection between the enterprise and the local community and create a harmonious and reciprocal atmosphere.
In the lecture, the volunteers of the Plant introduced basic knowledge of electricity, safe electricity usage, the composition of thermal power plants, and the environmental protection process through edutainment activities including exquisite PPT explanations, vivid animation demonstrations, distribution of brochures, interactive Q&A. “Do you know how electricity is generated?” “What are the common ways of power generation?” “What are the potential safety hazards of electricity in our lives?” Questions were posed one after another, and the children enthusiastically raised their hands to answer the questions, creating a lively classroom atmosphere. Tan Xiaole, a student from Class 6 of Grade 7 at Shakou Middle School, remarked, “Today, the volunteers gave us a vivid science lesson on electricity, enabling me to feel the charm of electricity. I will study harder in the future and continue to explore scientific knowledge.”
