On May 27, 259 children from Nalinxili Primary School in Hongqinghe Town of Yijinhuoluo Banner, Inner Mongolia, received school uniforms with reflective stripes donated by Shangwan Mine of Shendong Coal.
Children from the primary school have to travel a long journey back and forth to school every day. There are no lamps along the road and the road is very narrow, making the children vulnerable to various road accidents. The children therefore have been dreaming about wearing uniforms with reflective stripes.
When Shangwan Mine learned about their dream, it immediately launched a fund-raising campaign. The employees of the mine donated more than 17,000 yuan, which was used to purchase 259 sets of school uniforms. Children received the gifts prior to the International Children’s Day.
