On October 26, 2020, the No. 871118 freight train fully loaded with 8,400 tons of Mongolian coal departed Hailesihao South Railway Station in Inner Mongolia for Jingtang Port on the coast of the Bohai Sea via Bazhun-Dazhun-Daqin railway line. This marked the opening of a new route by Xinshuo Railway Company for transporting Mongolian coal to China’s east coast.

Since the beginning of this year, facing challenges of competing with other rail operators , coupled with the lingering COVID-19 pandemic amid Inner Mongolia’s campaign to regulate coal resources, Xinshuo Railway has maintained epidemic prevention measures while actively carrying out market research, striving to optimize coal loading and shunting procedures, and promoting online marketing. In the spirit of “mutually complementary and win-win cooperation,” the company carried out business negotiations with Inner Mongolia’s Jizhi Smart Logistics Co., Ltd., which has been engaged in the transportation and sales of coal from Mongolia for a long time. Upon learning that Jizhi intended to open a new rail route for the transportation of its goods, Xinshuo reacted quickly by coordinating with Baoshen Railway Logistics Company and Taiyuan Railway Administration to connect the different segments along the route. Within the shortest possible time, the goods were loaded and transported via the new line.

The opening of the new route is quite significant for Xinshuo Railway Company to make full use of the capacity of its Bazhun railway line, with an estimated annual shipment of 600,000 tons.
