As of June 22, Zhunneng Group’s self-produced commercial coal has exceeded 30 million tonnes, reaching 30.07 million tonnes, laying a solid foundation for completing the annual production targets.
Since the beginning of this year, the Group has adhered to the guiding principles of “making progress while maintaining stability, prioritizing safety while favoring innovation-driven and high-quality growth”, committed to three key areas of main responsibilities and businesses, green transition and resource acquisition, and steadfastly advanced the “Five Unwavering Principles”. The Group coordinates workplace safety and ensures stable energy supplies, maintaining steady and orderly production and operation, and showing a general trend of steady improvement.
Zhunneng Group strengthens accountability for workplace safety, deepens its three-year comprehensive safety improvement initiative, advances the application of digital-intelligent platforms in the safe production management system, and implements internal market-oriented management of safety supervision, establishing a full-chain intrinsic safety barrier. The Group fully implements major hazard-stricken project governance by intensifying risk inspections and rectification efforts, and focuses on risk management & control in such areas as slope reinforcement, blasting operations, road transportation, and high-risk operations. The Group also actively promotes the “Focus, Check, Supervision” safety work approach, emphasizes “on-site and real-time management and immediate access to the front-line production data and systems”, and refines the three-tier safety accountability system involving senior managers responsible for areas, managers responsible for sites, and safety supervision personnel responsible for patrols. In addition, all safety measures, including flood, lightning and wind prevention during the rainy season and fire emergency response have been rigorously enforced to ensure workplace safety bottom lines in all production phases.
In ensuring stable energy supplies, despite challenges such as land acquisition restrictions, Zhunneng Group quickly responded by identifying and resolving land expropriation issues, securing 1,342 hectares of mining fields’ continued mining rights, and supporting the land use demands of two open-pit mines in the following five years. The two open-pit mines optimized production and organization, upgraded coal transportation roads and mining & stripping design, improving production and operation efficiency and maintaining high production levels of raw coal. The coal preparation plant refined process parameters targeting coal calorific value, and fully implemented a smart loading system to improve coal washing efficiency and loading qualification rate. Pioneering a “accountability mechanism at the first diagnosis” approach, the equipment maintenance center established the cross-workshop coordination mechanism and enabled second spot inspections during maintenance intervals, with the operating rate higher than assessment indicators, which ensured the Group successfully fulfilled its critical energy supply tasks during critical periods, including the Spring Festival, maintaining stable and high-quality energy production and supplies.
