On January 6, “GUO JIA NENG YUAN 609” (B65K-8), the Shipping Company’s eighth 65,000-dwt bulk carrier, completed its trial voyage.
Equipped with the SDARI’s Digital Operation Support System (DOSS), the vessel is integrated with industry-leading ship-shore digital functions including an intelligent integrated platform, smart energy efficiency management, and smart engine room. The vessel utilizes cutting-edge technologies including big data modeling and artificial intelligence algorithms to provide operational support for the whole life cycle and has received CCS recognition with the intelligent ship symbol i-ship (I, E, M).
The vessel concluded its mooring test on January 3 and departed from the shipyard to begin its trial voyage. All performance results indicated outstanding capabilities that meet the expected standards. It is scheduled to commence formal operation in March 2025.
