As of December 18, Zhunneng Group’s annual commercial coal production has reached 60.082 million tonnes, continuing to meet the winter peak demand for stable energy supplies.
Since the beginning of 2024, with a holistic view on ensuring energy supplies, Zhunneng Group has responded to adverse factors, including extreme weather, equipment maintenance, land acquisition, monitored safety production, followed up key links across operation and organization to achieve efficient integration and ensure stable and high coal production. The Company has completed 51.5 million tonnes of loading in the integrated outbound areas, breaking the highest record in the same period for four consecutive years, and it finished lump coal production of 1.036 million tonnes, fulfilling the annual task 53 days ahead of schedule. The Heidaigou open-pit coal mine under Zhunneng Group scientifically formulated the plan for key procedures, including stripping, mining, transportation, dumping, and fully utilized machines in good condition to ensure raw coal mining, maximizing equipment performance to ensure stable coal production and supply. The Ha’erwusu open-pit coal mine strengthened efforts into on-site production organization and management, optimized the mining design scheme, planned the coal route, and shortened the transportation distance to further improve efficiency and reduce costs. The coal preparation plant ensured that the calorific value of commercial coal reached the standard through real-time monitoring of coal quality indicators and the adjustment of washing parameters, and optimized the product mix according to the market changes to further increase the quantity and quality, with the calorific value of the commercial coal reaching 4,722 kcal/kg, a year-on-year increase of 66 kcal/kg, and the qualification rate for truck loading reaching 94.71%, a year-on-year rise of 1.47%. The Equipment Maintenance Center continued to carry out fine overhauls and increased the daily inspection and maintenance of equipment to steadily improve equipment availability rate.
In addition, the request for the preliminary land use for the continuation of mining field project of the 239.20-hectare stope of Zhunneng Group’s Heidaigou open-pit coal mine and the 163.18-hectare stope of Ha’erwusu open-pit coal mine, was officially approved by the People’s Government of Jungar Banner, marking a full start for the two open-pit coal mines’ production stripping and laying a solid foundation for stable coal supplies for this year and the coming year.
