As of December 11, Shuohuang Railway completed the annual freight volume of 351.143 million tonnes which included 329.337 million tonnes of coal transportation and 21.806 million tonnes of non-coal transportation, achieving a year-on-year increase of 3.052 million tonnes, thus continuing to empower stable energy supplies during the winter peak demand.
Since the beginning of this winter, Shuohuang Railway has been focusing on the annual transportation task and highlighting the integration of efficient and coordinated operations. The Company stringently followed daily and shift plans, addressing critical elements including train sequencing, traffic rerouting, channel capacity enhancement, and anti-freeze measures, thereby streamlining process management. By “optimizing the parallel operation to enhance the organization efficiency”, the Company coordinated resources at major stations, facilitated coordination across all levels, removed transportation blockages, and explored new opportunities for improvement to continuously boost operational efficiency. Shuohuang Railway also responded flexibly to market changes, established a sound freight marketing system, enhanced the transportation capacity, and increased loading, and non-coal transportation efforts. As of December 11, the Company has loaded 4.879 million tonnes for the year and completed 21.806 million tonnes of non-coal transportation, with both indicators hitting record highs compared with the same periods of previous years, injecting strong impetus into the increase in transportation volume. Focusing on the seasonal key safety issues, Shuohuang Railway has strengthened the checks and rectification of common safety problems in winter, strictly monitoring protective measures against rail breaks, frost heave, and pollution flashover, and intensifying inspections on fault maintenance, ice and snow clearing, and route patrol, to comprehensively lay a solid foundation for safety.
