As of November 24, Zhunneng Group has achieved a cumulative production of 1.003 billion tonnes of commercial coal, fulfilling its critical role in ensuring energy supply, and solidifying its position as a “ballast of energy supply and a pioneer of the energy revolution”.
Since the beginning of 2024, Zhunneng Group, implementing the “136” development strategy and “41663” general work guidelines of CHN Energy, has enhanced refined management, advanced intelligent upgrades, and deepened sci-tech innovation to ensure safe and stable production. The two open-pit coal mines have maintained meticulous production organization, soundly planning processes across drilling, mining, transportation, and dumping to boost coal mining efficiency and achieve stable and high-yield production of raw coal. The coal preparation plant has ensured compliance with thermal value standards by implementing real-time monitoring of coal quality indicators and adjusting washing parameters. It has also optimized product structures in response to market changes, further improving quantity and quality. Furthermore, the equipment maintenance center tracked equipment status and component performance parameters with sci-tech monitoring methods, while developing proactive maintenance plans and safety technical measures to reduce equipment failure rates and ensure efficient operations.
Zhunneng Group boasts Heidaigou and Ha’erwusu open-pit coal mines and supporting coal preparation plants, with an annual production capacity of 69 million tonnes. The coal is renowned for its unique qualities of high ash melting point, high ash whiteness, low moisture, low sulfur content, and stable product quality, making it ideal for power generation, gasification, and chemical applications, and is celebrated as “green coal” for its cleanliness and minimal environmental impact. Over the past three years, Zhunneng Group has achieved steady growth in commercial coal production, with a cumulative increase of over 13 million tonnes.
