On September 26, with the establishment of the Fugu Railway Company under CHN Energy Baoshen Railway Group, this key national dedicated railway line project commenced construction. The establishment of the Fugu Railway Company marks a new phase in the construction of the Guyin Railway dedicated line and its coal collection station, with financing, construction, and operations fully underway.
The Guyin Railway project is a joint investment between Baoshen Railway Group and Fugu County in Yulin City, Shaanxi Province, with Baoshen Railway holding a 67% stake and Fugu County holding 33% and the company’s registered capital is set at 1.2 billion yuan. With a total length of 36.055 kilometers, the railway is located within Fugu County, stretching from Gushanchuan Station on the Shenshuo Railway in the south to Yinziwan Station on the Fugu Coal Line in the north, designed as a Level I, heavy-haul, single-track electrified railway for 10,000-tonne trains. Two new 10,000-tonne stations, Miaogoumen and Sandaogou, will be established. The railway is designed to transport up to 24 million tonnes of freight annually in the near term, primarily carrying coal from the core production areas within the Fugu County of the Shenfu Mining Area and the southern part of Zhungeer Banner and serving as a new supplementary line for the company’s collection and distribution system in railway, port, and shipping sectors.
The construction of the Guyin Railway will enhance coal transportation capacity in Fugu County and surrounding areas, alleviating the pressure on coal transportation. It will also deepen cooperation with local government in areas including resource development, thermal power, and coal chemical industries. This project is expected to further promote ecological protection and high-quality development in the Yellow River Basin, achieving mutual benefits for both local government and enterprises, and contributing to local economic growth and national energy security.
