As of April 24, Huanghua Port has completed a total dredging volume of 18 million cubic meters, setting a record for dredging during the same period in previous years. It has over-fulfilled the dredging task for the first half of the year, providing solid assurance for the safe and smooth transportation of energy resources.

Boasting the largest coal shipment in the country, Huanghua Port has prioritized safety, coordination, and stable supply since the beginning of the year to ensure the orderly progress of various tasks. Faced with channel siltation caused by adverse weather conditions such as strong winds, a 24-hour joint duty mode involving the competent authorities, project departments, and cooperating parties has been established to address issues in construction promptly, ensuring the orderly progress of channel dredging. Efforts have been intensified to increase the number of vessels involved in dredging, with the highest daily dredging volume reaching 330,000 cubic meters, setting new record highs in vessel deployment and construction capacity. In response to uneven channel siltation, outward movement of the core of siltation, and dense distribution of silt, dredging engineers have implemented the "one process for one ship" and "one design for one ship" methods, optimizing vessel matching, improving excavation, loading, and transportation efficiency. Particularly, in the excavation and loading of silt, efficiency has increased by 5%-7%. Taking advantage of navigation and replenishment intervals, maintenance on ship machinery and equipment have been carried out in an efficient manner, which increased the effective construction duration of dredging vessels. The utilization rate of dredging vessel construction time has reached 93.67%, an increase of 9.12% compared to the previous year. Currently, the average water depth of the Huanghua Port channel has been restored to 14.20 meters, meeting the requirements for navigable depth with a certain capacity for silt storage, thereby laying a solid foundation for efficient navigation in the waterway.
