On January 10, Xinzhun Line of Xinshuo Railway achieved record high in daily coal transportation, with 39 trains transporting 166,000 tonnes of coal in a single day.

Exposed to fluctuations in the coal market prices, the Xinshuo Railway adhered to the principle of “promoting works in key points for the smooth railway transportation, and ensuring railway operation for the sound overall situation”. It emphasized active communication with various departments within the company, other transport companies along the route, clients, and loading stations to strengthen collaborative efforts. Detailed assessments of the resources at each dedicated line and loading point within the railway network were conducted, so as to refine and breakdown transportation plans, and tap into the potential of dedicated lines. Leveraging the advantages of arrival-departure tracks of the Xinzhun line, particularly the Hailesihao South Station, efforts were made to enhance wagon reserves, optimize the flow of trains at boundary points, and continuously improve handover efficiency to lay a solid foundation for achieving a good performance in the first month. Maintaining a focus on safety management objectives, special efforts targeting the aspects of “personnel, machinery, environment, and management” were carried out, aiming at enhancing the quality of operation equipment and management standards. Considering the unique characteristics of each field, strict adherence to winter protection requirements was implemented, including preventing breakage, deformation, sliding, and freezing of trains. Efforts were intensified in the maintenance of track and bridge equipment, urging loading stations to utilize loading intervals to ensure proper road clearing and equipment maintenance. It further summarized experiences in coping with cold waves to further refine and strengthen risk prevention, as well as emergency response plans. Additionally, the implementation of duty systems and information reporting across various units were reinforced, providing a reliable guarantee for the overall energy supply for the peak winter season.
