As of July 22, the cumulative cargo volume of Shuohuang Railway had reached 200.64 million tonnes this year, a year-on-year increase of 8.24 million tonnes or 4.28%, guaranteeing stable, efficient energy supply for the summer peak season.

Since the beginning of 2023, Shuohuang Railway has fully implemented the overall operational strategy of its parent company, China Energy, given full play to its advantages of integrated, synergized operations, and continuously optimized the organization of train connection, unloading and discharge to improve the efficiency of cargo loading and unloading and maximize the diversion of heavy-haul vehicles at each interface. By doing so, it has continuously reduced the number of idle vehicles at each station and accelerated the discharge of empty trains. The company dynamically adjusts the number of operating locomotives, optimizes the proportion of operating AC and DC locomotives, and increases the operation of 20,000-tonne and 10,000-tonne trains to ensure integrated, smooth and full-capacity operations. Besides, it strengthens the organization of coal and non-coal cargo transportation under its jurisdiction, actively promotes the opening and operation of the Ningwu West Xuyang energy transport special line, and continuously optimizes and improves the cargo unloading efficiency of the Jingye special line. In addition, the company vigorously promotes transport services of non-coal cargos such as iron ore powder, kaolinite, cement clinker, slag, and bauxite. It fully leverages information such as cargo storage volumes and loading plans, ensuring the full realization of daily transport plans. In collaboration with various partners, the company has successfully built a new channel for land and sea multimodal transport of bauxite across Shandong, Hebei and Shanxi provinces to continuously facilitate efficient and stable transportation of non-coal cargo. It coordinates the upstream loading end to increase the loading of special-purpose coal, and maximizes the diversion of cargo transport to Huanghua and Datong, thus organizing coal transportation in a rational and efficient way.
