Joint Research Base for Fly Ash Integrated Utilization Inaugurated in Zhungeer Energy Group

On March 11, the joint research base for fly ash integrated utilization of the National Engineering Research Center for Low-carbon Nonferrous Metallurgy, Central South University, was inaugurated in Zhungeer Energy Group, marking that the group has taken a new step forward in advancing production-education-research cooperation and low-carbon transformation.

At the inauguration ceremony, representatives from Central South University introduced the history of the university’s fly ash integrated utilization research in partnership with Zhungeer Energy Group and the respective advantages of both sides, noting that the two sides would join hands to conduct key technology research and pilot projects for power source-grid-load-storage integration, develop technologies such as fly ash extraction alumina whole-process intelligent manufacturing, and facilitate the implementation of circular economy projects.

At present, Zhungeer Energy Group has achieved initial results in green and low-carbon development: In terms of coal mining, Heidaigou open-pit coal mine has emerged as a national intelligent mining benchmark with “intelligent control of single-machine equipment and intelligent coordination of multi-machine equipment” as the core; in terms of green and high-efficiency utilization of coal resources, it has invented coal-based nano-hydrocarbon fuel for the first time, forming two technical systems of industrial preparation of coal-based nano-hydrocarbon fuel and thermal power generation, and made progress in replacing diesel with coal-based nano-hydrocarbon to produce ammonium oil explosives; in terms of ecological conservation, the group has integrated industry, agriculture and animal husbandry, and cultural tourism in the “ecology+” model, implemented ecological carbon sink projects, and built national-level green mines. Relying on the advantages of both sides, the joint research base is expected to help Zhungeer Energy Group strengthen the circular economy industry characterized by energy conservation and low-carbon development.
