The railway siding at Sidaoliu container freight station of Xinshuo Railway opened on July 1. It is the 13th railway siding operated by Xinshuo Railway and the first after the Xinzhun Railway was opened.
The railway siding is a supportive project for the company’s logistics park. Construction began in late 2017, and the entire line measures 14.6 kilometers in length. It starts from the DK42+700 of the Bazhun Railway. Its initial annual loading capacity is 10 million tons, and the figure will grow to 25-30 million tons in the future.
Sidaoliu station mainly serves some 40 coal mines in the peripheral area. The approved production capacity of these coal mines has exceeded 30 million tons. On June 28, the station was officially put into operation. On July 1, the railway siding was opened, which greatly increased the transportation capacity of Xinshuo Railway. By making full use of the national supportive policy for railway transportation, the company will be able to expand its market share in the coal mining industry. The station and the railway siding will also help boost the transportation capacity of the Xinzhun Railway line, and strongly enhance China Energy’s competitiveness in the transportation market.
The opening of the railway siding is a new beginning for Xinshuo Railway to attract more freight sources and increase its transportation capacity. Since earlier this year, the company has solved many difficult problems in business operation by adopting a market-oriented approach, focusing on profit growth and taking initiative in expanding market. Currently, the company plans to build another eight railway sidings as its technology upgrading programs are advanced in a fast and steady manner, providing strong momentum for Xinshou Railway’s efforts to increase transportation capacity.
