Shuozhou-Huanghua Railway on March 15 finished assessment on the safety of transporting hazardous goods including petrochemical products, marking the company’s progress in marketing and transportation work.
The Huanghua-Dajiawa Railway, an electrified railway, features large transportation capacity, fast speed, all-weather services, zero emissions and excellent safety track record. Its transportation services have covered petroleum products markets in many cities including Cangzhou, Baoding, Shijiazhuang, Xinzhou, Yulin and Erdos. With an increasingly growing market share, the railway is changing the market pattern for hazardous products transportation in north and northwest China. In the next five years, the services are likely to be a new source of growth for the company’s transportation business.
Given the safety requirements for petrochemicals transportation, Shuozhou-Huanghua Railway assembled an expert panel for safety assessment. The focus is set on compliance with rules and regulations, operation standards, on-site safety facilities, safety personnel and training. The panel also checked certificates for hazardous chemicals transportation, storage and market demands in Cangzhou-Huanghua Port railway, Shijiazhuang-Songjiayu railway and Ningwu-Jingle railway. The move laid a solid foundation for next-stage petrochemicals transportation business.
