On January 27, the operation room for a centralized control system of conveyor was put into use in the Daliuta Mine of Shendong Coal, symbolizing the realization of unmanned operation of the coal mine’s main conveying system.
The operation room is located at the head end of the belt conveyor system and features a terminal control system and a remote monitoring system. With the use of the operation room, data of trammel temperature, running speed, motor current and failure warning on the main conveying system can be integrated into one system. An integrated management model for coal mining, conveying and washing is established, optimizing the coal production procedure. With integrated control of the equipment and centralized management of data and information, the operation room makes it possible that the main conveying system runs automatic. Staff workers, sitting in the operation room, are able to have every conveyor-belt system in control with the help of the monitoring system.
The use of the operation room saves about 23 conveying operators, which reduces a human resources cost of around 2.6 million yuan every year. In the meantime, it solves many major issues regarding the coordination, management and safety control for coal production, and ensures efficient and safe mine operation.
