On October 7, A Locomotive Sensor Measurement and Control Device and a Locomotive, independently designed and developed by China Shenhua’s Baoshen Railway was granted a national utility model patent by the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA).

As an indispensable monitoring device for locomotives, the locomotive oil and water temperature measurement and control system requires strict periodic maintenance. Railway locomotives use numerous temperature measurement components, such as thermocouples and thermal resistors, to acquire, compute, and control temperature. No dedicated maintenance device is available for the oil and water temperature measurement and control system. Consequently, when the oil and water temperature becomes abnormal, each temperature acquisition component must be disassembled and reassembled, a costly and inflexible solution. The device developed by the Baoshen Railway mainly consists of an enclosure equipped with a temperature acquisition element measurement and control device, a locomotive temperature gauge interface, an external sensor interface, and a locomotive temperature sensor interface. By centrally processing and analyzing signals input through these interfaces, the temperature acquisition element measurement and control device enables real-time monitoring, comparison, and verification of locomotive temperature conditions. It provides reliable data support for maintaining and troubleshooting the locomotive temperature system, helps promptly detect abnormalities in temperature monitoring, and ensures the safe operation of locomotives.
