Recently, the Coal Preparation Plant of Shendong Coal achieved a key technological breakthrough in comprehensive dust control. The dual-fluid dry fog dust suppression system, independently developed, assembled, and commissioned by the plant, successfully completed its on-site trial at the tail section of the upper storage belt conveyor. The system achieved the desired dust suppression effect and operated stably, marking independent and controllable solution to the plant’s dust control challenges .
Previous dry fog dust suppression equipment was restricted from poor adaptability, high maintenance costs, and on-site modification constraints. In response, the Coal Preparation Plant, based on actual production conditions, broke away from the rigid model of conventional equipment. By selecting micron-sized dual-fluid atomizing nozzles and supporting water filtration devices, and by independently designing the piping layout and intelligent control system, the plant successfully assembled a dry fog dust suppression system adapted to the operating conditions of its belt conveyors. This truly enabled on-demand modification, on-demand adaptation, and independent maintenance, completely overcoming the technical barriers of traditional equipment.
The system is driven by compressed air and atomizes water into ultra-fine dry fog particles below 10 microns. These particles diffuse evenly and have strong adsorption capacity, allowing them to fully collide with, condense, and settle fine dust in the working area, thereby effectively suppressing fugitive dust. The system is also equipped with an intelligent solenoid valve control module, enabling synchronous start and stop with the belt conveyor and automatic operation without manual intervention, thereby achieving a truly unattended and intelligent dust suppression effect. On-site trial data monitoring shows that the system has a significant dust suppression effect, with an overall dust removal rate exceeding 50%, effectively reducing dust concentration in the belt conveyor operating area, significantly improving the on-site working environment, and meeting all occupational health and safety standards.
