The 29th National Exhibition of Invention — Belt & Road and BRICS Skills Development & Technology Innovation Competition concluded in Shijiazhuang, Hebei on October 19. Shuohuang Railway stood out with its innovative work Research and Application of CIR Service for Heavy-Haul Trains Based on LTE Technology, receiving a gold medal at the Exhibition.
The achievement was independently developed by the technical team of the Communication Maintenance Center of Shuohuang Railway’s Suning Company. During the R&D process, the team focused on six major challenges faced by heavy-haul trains in actual operation, including section safety protection, beyond-line-of-sight information acquisition, and LTE-R network anomaly localization, conducting in-depth research and breakthroughs. In terms of technical architecture, the project adopted a layered structure and modular design concept, meticulously constructing a dual-system model of “multi-dimensional monitoring + intelligent early warning” and “centralized computing + precise push”. This enabled the expansion of CIR operational safety service functions, real-time monitoring of train running status, and fault early warning, significantly enhancing the safety and reliability of train operations.
It is reported that the exhibition was jointly organized by authoritative institutions such as the China Association of Inventions and the Chinese Council of BRICS Business Council. Under the theme Invention and Innovation Leading Digital Economic Development, the event featured ten competition tracks covering advanced manufacturing, digital healthcare, green energy, artificial intelligence, virtual simulation, digital agriculture, future technologies, sky and space communication technology, government and public management, end-to-end solutions, and talent development. It attracted nearly 100 domestic and international teams to compete on the same stage. Additionally, through activities such as roadshow matchmaking and achievement transfer signing, the event built a bridge between invention innovation and industrial capital, promoting the transition of key technologies from the laboratory to the market.
