Recently, the Chinese Society for Electrical Engineering convened an appraisal meeting in Beijing. In the meeting, the Research and Application of Intelligent On-site Safety Early Warning Technology for Gas Power Stations, led by Jingran Thermal Power, successfully passed the scientific and technological achievement appraisal. The appraisal committee concluded that the overall technical level of the project has reached the “world-leading” standard.
The project focuses on the practical safety needs of gas power stations, leveraging cutting-edge technologies such as AI, multi-modal sensing, AR remote collaboration, and process automation to build an all-scenario safety early warning system integrating the “platform-data-cloud network” trinity. The outcomes cover equipment defect warnings, personnel behavior alerts, remote operation collaboration, and risk cloud pre-control, forming a relatively comprehensive closed-loop intelligent safety management system. In terms of key technology, the R&D team achieved three major breakthroughs: a multi-modal combined detection technology integrating infrared thermal imaging with spatial temperature fields inside the gas turbine enclosure enables real-time identification of small targets and high-temperature gas leaks under complex operating conditions; acoustic fingerprint fault localization and health assessment technology accurately detects minor abnormal sounds in gas turbines under high-noise environments and provides early warnings; and a language model-based risk cloud pre-control automatic question generation technology establishes an intelligent closed-loop for contractor operation assessments, significantly enhancing risk prevention and control capabilities.
Currently, the achievements have been fully deployed and applied across all scenarios at Jingran Thermal Power. Operational data shows that the equipment fault detection rate has increased from 85% to 98%, violations in contractor operations have decreased by over 30%, and the accuracy of violation behavior identification exceeds 96%, generating annual direct economic benefits of approximately 1.5 million yuan. The system operates stably and holds significant potential for promotion to high-risk industries such as thermal power, chemicals, and metallurgy. The recognition of this achievement as “world-leading” marks a new level in Jingran Thermal Power’s intelligent construction and safety management, providing replicable practical experience for the digital transformation of the energy industry.
