Recently, Shendong Coal’s Cuncaota Coal Mine has successfully applied a newly designed ventilation door locking device throughout its underground operations with effective results. The new device resolved the problem of incomplete air door locking, significantly enhancing the safety and stability of the mine’s ventilation system.
The new ventilation door locking device, made from recycled materials, consists of components such as wire ropes, slide bars, springs, and guide wheels. This mechanical pullback system requires no external power source. When the ventilation door is opened, a wire rope connected to the door leaf of the ventilation door pulls the spacer pin to lock the second ventilation door quickly. After workers pass through, the door automatically resets via the spring mechanism, preventing both doors from being open at the same time. The device is durable, cost-efficient, and highly reliable.
This new ventilation door locking device has been put into operation in the mine, addressing the problems faced by traditional locking device, reducing material costs and failure rates, and further improving the mine’s disaster prevention capabilities and overall safety management level.
