Recently, Shuohuang Railway completed the first dynamic calibration test of its intelligent heavy-haul comprehensive inspection vehicle on the upline between Hejian City and Xingbieying Town stations.
This dynamic calibration marks that the intelligent heavy-haul inspection vehicle has been coupled with existing comprehensive patrol and inspection vehicles in a formation for the first time. With double locomotives, back-and-forth tests at speeds of 60km/h, 70km/h, and 80km/h were performed and repeatability comparisons were made for the track, overhead lines, and subgrade and ballast bed detection systems during the calibration process. Fault detection rates were tested by setting malfunctions in terms of signals, track inspections, and trace hotbox detection stations, while a unified spatial coordinate system was established for all 3 inspection vehicles, allowing for standardized detection parameters at the same mileage to facilitate correlated data display and analysis for identical track sections.
The successful calibration achieved full dynamic and independent calibration of the intelligent heavy-haul inspection vehicle across all systems with parameter indicators superior to national and industrial standards, ensuring the stability, consistency, and accuracy of measurement data to provide a scientific foundation for railway infrastructure maintenance and further safeguard the smooth and secure operation of the major energy corridors.
