On May 10, the coal-mining fiber-reinforced composite flameproof enclosure, developed under the leadership of Shendong Coal, passed professional acceptance tests for tensile strength, bending, and water resistance, establishing a new material technology foundation for the company to explore lightweight technology for flameproof enclosure of mobile equipment and to enhance portability and safety.

Compared to traditional metal materials, the reinforced flameproof enclosure is a non-metallic glass fiber resin-based composite, featuring high tensile strength, excellent corrosion resistance, strong pressure-bearing capacity, and lightweight. It can meet the demanding working conditions of heavy loads, lightweight, and high strength, making it a key factor in enhancing the core competitiveness of emerging industries and high-end technologies. According to the results of acceptance tests, the glass fiber-reinforced composite can achieve a 50% reduction in weight when replacing steel, with the tensile strength reaching over 1000 MPa. The flameproof enclosure can withstand static water pressure of no less than 2 MPa, exceeding the load-bearing capacity of metal flameproof enclosure.
