The phased array flaw detection equipment is a kind of intelligent equipment introduced by Shuohuang Railway for precise locomotive flaw detection, which is mainly used for wheel axle flaw detection for various types of locomotives. The performance of the equipment is crucial for the safety of locomotive maintenance and repair as well as the smooth operation of locomotives. The company adheres to a problem-oriented approach and pays close attention to on-site safety production needs. It realized interconnected renovation of its AGV transportation device and flaw detection device, achieving automatic obstacle avoidance during equipment transportation and free switching between two tracks. This eliminates the need for locomotive track crossover operations and significantly reduces locomotive downtime. Top wheel technology and robotic arm technology have been fully applied in flaw detection of locomotive wheel flanges, rims, and spokes. The unique probe carrier rotation function can achieve automatic axle scanning more conveniently and quickly. Upon multi-view correlation analysis, defect distribution maps and defect detection reports are automatically generated, providing accurate data support for locomotive quality analysis and locomotive component life management.
