Since May this year, the equipment maintenance and repair center of Shengli Energy has used “sonography”, namely, phased array flaw detection technology, to carry out equipment component defect detection and elimination, improving the quality of equipment maintenance and ensuring safe and efficient operation.
To ensure the accuracy of phased array ultrasonic flaw detection in open-pit mine equipment testing, the center’s equipment condition monitoring department actively organizes professional technicians to conduct centralized statistical analysis of the cracking and fracture of assembly parts that occur in the equipment operation process, and formulates plans for daily fixed-point monitoring, key maintenance inspections, and comprehensive testing during the renovation period. Moreover, it conducts the whole-process deduction and default elimination in terms of working procedures and operational risk prevention measures. By doing so, it has ensured efficient detection of equipment components by using phased array ultrasonic technology.
Through the application of phased array flaw detection technology, the center has completed the detection of 158 assembly parts that are easy to crack according to their operating durations, of which six were identified to be abnormal, issued five evaluation reports, and applied for the scrapping of one structural component, effectively reducing the potential failure risks of equipment, improving the life cycle of assembly parts, and providing a strong guarantee for building an intelligent inspection and maintenance team.
