Recently, the “DC locomotive speed signal detector” independently developed by Shuozhou-Huanghua Railway Company passed the final acceptance and has been put into use, effectively improving the maintenance efficiency of DC locomotive speed signals.
With easy-to-go operation, the detector makes pair work a thing of the past. It identifies and handles challenging faults such as “false idling” of the locomotives for temporary and piecemeal repair. With early detection of the speed signal abnormalities of locomotive axles, it locates defect spots of speed channel equipment, achieving full coverage of locomotive speed signal channels, with no dead end and with 100% fault detection. Besides, a single detector can send a constant analog speed signal at 0-120 km/h for a single locomotive axle. In the networking mode, four detectors can run at the same speed, effectively solving the problems of short “sliding” distance and limited speed of the locomotive, which is of great significance for performance tests such as idling protection of locomotives.
