As of February 27, Baoshen Railway’s electric locomotive “Shen 12” had pulled 5,031 10,000-ton heavy-haul trains, with over 43.46 million tons of cargo transported, cementing the company’s transportation capacity to stabilize energy supply.
To ensure safe and stable operation of the 10,000-ton “2+0” marshalling mode of “Shen 12” locomotive traction unit, which was officially put into operation on Shenmu-Shuozhou Railway in October 2020, Baoshen Railway Group has solved a series of technical problems, such as long ramp starting, curved rail-line and undulating ramps, weak field reinforcement of train tail signals, fatigue detection and prevention of locomotive hitch devices. It has thus explored and formed a set of mature, efficient, safe and scientific “Shen 12” locomotive operation mode.
