On September 28, Shendong Coal’s Shangwan Coal Mine successfully debugged and put into use its intelligent air window control system, which achieves unmanned intelligent operation to reduce workforce. The system further accelerates Shangwan’s pace towards an intelligent coal mine.
When the air volume and ventilation system of the underground working face shift, it is necessary to readjust the air volume for distribution. The change of atmospheric pressure affects ventilation pressure of the working face to a large extent. The wind measurers need to frequently adjust the air window according to the change of atmospheric pressure to realize systematic balance and pressure equalization. In the past, manual adjustment of flashboards was applied to change the air volume, which was not only plagued by inappropriate width and poor accuracy of flashboards, but also brought safety hazards to air adjustment workers as harmful gases might exceed due limit when people worked at the return air window.
After applying the intelligent air window control system, the number of operators can be reduced by two for each shift, and the annual material costs by more than 550,000 yuan.
