A trial operation of a subsystem for train scheduling was successfully completed on Xinshuo Railway on May 31. The success is of great demonstration significance to the IT application efforts for each railway line.
The subsystem is an important constituent part of the train scheduling system. Each of the modules was re-programed based on management demand. The trial operation is an effective measure to test whether the system can meet on-site demand, whether the procedure is feasible, whether the calculation result is accurate, and whether the interface is user friendly.
The information system for train scheduling has two data centers, four scheduling commands, and integrated control devices for 157 train stations. It features 10 functional modules covering planning, train running, freight, locomotive, vehicles, construction and data analysis. It enables whole-process management and control of transportation activities and remote automated control of various devices for track switches and train signals.
