Shengli Energy Launches China’s First Local Area Network Covering the Entire Mining Area

On December 7, 2020, the WK-35 Electric Shovel Real-time Status Digital Platform, China’s first local area network (LAN) covering the entire mining area, was officially launched at the equipment maintenance center of Shengli Energy Co., Ltd. Through low delay and high bandwidth, this platform realizes the interconnection of the data of electric shovels and that of the maintenance center, which provides a scientific basis for digital maintenance of automatic data collection, automatic data acquisition, and flexible application for large electric shovel equipment.

WK-35 Electric Shovel Full-time Status Digital Platform.

The platform consists of a LAN data center, a visualized interface, and two core modules. With modern information technology and advanced communication technology, such as big data collection, real-time status monitoring, full-time status acquisition, and the Internet of Things, the platform can provide timely online diagnosis of equipment failures and guidance on maintenance.

During its operation, the electric shovel real-time parameter monitoring module can collect the shovel equipment’s running status and parameters of the main components under different working conditions, and provide intelligent fault diagnosis and alarm for maintenance personnel to carry out timely preventative maintenance, which will significantly reduce the incidence of major failures and maintenance costs.

The full-time status collection module collects and feeds back the running status of the shovel equipment’s key structural parts and transmission parts. It also keeps track of the vibration and temperature of the equipment’s key transmission shaft and gear box, to calculate and analyze the deterioration trend of the components. Meanwhile, it can evaluate the running status of the equipment’s auxiliary mechanism with information on wind speed and oil pressure. With information on the shovel’s posture, it can send early warning signals on the equipment’s excessive operating obliquity, which will prevent major structural failures. The multi-dimensional platform will realize the “digital and integrated” management of the electric shovel equipment, which will be more secure, efficient and complete.
