On May 16, 2025 Fortune China ESG Impact List was officially released. With its outstanding practices in the environmental, social, and governance (ESG) fields, China Shenhua has been successfully included for the third time. This evaluation covers nearly 300 applicants, including enterprises on the list of Fortune Global 500, China Top 500, and leading companies in emerging industries.
In recent years, China Shenhua has transformed external pressures into endogenous driving forces for high-quality development by strengthening investment in clean technology research & development, advancing digital transformation, and optimizing supply chain risk management. In response to the “green barrier”, China Shenhua was among the first batch of companies to complete ultra-low emission upgrades for all coal-fired power units, passed the full-process test with the first hydrogen-electric hybrid unmanned mining truck in China and completed the 10,000-tonne loading test for China’s first 2400kW high-power hydrogen-powered shunting locomotive. In addition, we successfully developed the country’s first large-scale methanol-to-olefins device to promote clean production in coal-chemical industries, establishing a low-carbon benchmark for the energy sector.
