Recently, the China Energy Research Society announced the List of Excellent Cases for the 2024 Innovative Application Conference of Energy Network Communication, with Shengli Energy’s project achievement, 5G-powered “New Engine” Propelling Autonomous Mining Trucks into a New Era of Intelligent Construction, included.
The Conference aims to accelerate the construction of China’s new type energy system, continuously promote the innovative application of key technologies in energy network communication, and deepen the integrated development of next-generation information and communication technology with the energy business. The Conference seeks to enhance new quality productive forces in the energy sector through digital and intelligent pathways. As the only enterprise engaging in coal mining sector selected for this conference, Shengli Energy’s autonomous driving project emphasized technological innovation as the core, safe operation and maintenance as the guarantee, and regulatory compliance as the criterion and has led to the development of intelligent barrier recognition technology, multi-truck dumping technology, and pre-parking position and waiting technology. It has also achieved the optimization of various algorithm models regarding slurry and dust perception, electric shovel positioning, and path planning. Shengli Energy has designed multiple redundancy guarantee schemes, such as multi-level braking, dual network data communication links, and multi-system integration. Furthermore, comprehensive documentation has been prepared, including a safety management manual for the autonomous driving system, operational procedures, standard operating processes for unmanned systems, and safety risk identification and assessment protocols. Detailed dispatch procedures and personnel responsibilities are clarified to ensure compliance to regulations and guidelines. These efforts have collectively ensured the safe and stable operation of the autonomous driving transportation system through coordination and interconnectivity.
