Jiangxi Shenhua Jiujiang Company Won the First Prize of National Management Innovation Achievement Award

On June 13, Jiangxi Shenhua Jiujiang Company was awarded the First Prize in the National Electric Power Industry Engineering Construction and Management Innovation Achievement Award for its achievements in clean coal-fired power smart projects based on 5G and artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure.

Guided by the principles of “multi-source integration, intelligent perception, coordinated linkage, and smart control”, the project utilized the entirely independent-controlled IMS platform developed by CHN Energy. With advanced information technologies such as 5G+, the Internet of Things (IoT), and AI, it creates a smart construction site management system. By the establishment of an AR real-scene map for engineering construction, the system enables comprehensive video surveillance and monitoring of all roads, checkpoints, and areas, achieving visualized safety and quality management for the entire plant, thereby enhancing on-site management efficiency and timeliness. The project also provides visualized risk pre-control management for high-risk operations involving large machinery such as tower cranes and hoists, as well as deep excavation pits and high formwork. It adopts a real-name system and facial recognition access management for contractor personnel, covering the entire process from contractor personnel qualification review, safety education, and training examinations, to entry and exit of the plant.

With VPN network interconnection, a mobile app was developed to allow users to instantly capture safety and quality issues, facilitating weekly safety and quality inspections and ensuring closed-loop management of all problems. The system provides real-time monitoring of construction progress and data analysis to optimize resource allocation and scheduling. Additionally, environmental monitoring data collection equipment was installed on-site to transmit real-time environmental information such as temperature, humidity, and wind speed, providing essential environmental references for construction activities.

The application of the project successfully enables comprehensive management of safety, quality, and progress throughout the construction process, effectively controlling various elements and risks, and enhancing the intrinsic safety and intelligence transformation of the project.
