Recently, Shenhua Sichuan Tianming 2×1000 MW project won the 2022-2023 National Quality Engineering Award.
Sichuan Tianming 2×1000 MW project is located in the power load center of Chengdu-Deyang-Mianyang area, which lies in Shuanghe Town, Jiangyou (County-level) City, Mianyang City, Sichuan Province. Launched in November 2015, the Project successfully completed dual-machine 168 trial operation and commenced production at the end of October 2021.
In pursuit of the National Quality Engineering Award, the Project has been upholding the goals of “safety and reliability, cost-saving operation, advanced indicators, national demonstration as well as wide load and high efficiency” designed at the initial stage and adhering to spirit of “striving for excellence and setting up benchmark”. By adopting an integrated management approach through the whole process, the Project has been focusing on quality and prioritizing standards. A management procedure featuring “advance planning, benchmark demonstration, process control and success at one stroke” for excellent quality was implemented to effectively integrate the requirement of National Quality Engineering Award into the construction processes. Supervision, inspection and acceptance procedures regarding quality refinement standards, clean construction standards and process handover conditions review were strictly implemented during the construction with an acceptance rate of unit project reaching 100%, and tests on boiler water pressure, ignition, grid connection, and 168 trial operation completed at one stroke. After the Project was put into operation, the main and auxiliary equipment has been in good performance. All the technical, economic, and emission indicators reached or exceeded the design value, providing a strong support for regional energy supply.
The National Quality Engineering Award is the highest honor of engineering quality in China, which represents the recognition on the Sichuan Tianming Project, making it a benchmark of domestic infrastructure management in the same period and of the same kind.
