On March 9, a coal-laden train of Shenhua Xinshuo Railway Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of China Energy, departed from the Batuta Station and headed to Caofeidian West Port. This was the first 10,000-ton freight train operated by the company since it adopted an approach to mobilize all staff to participate in marketing, breaking a new ground for the implementation of the strategy.
In early February, the company issued a document to encourage all of its staff to participate in railway transport marketing to expand the client base and increase revenues. In addition, it adopts a market-oriented approach, strengthens advertising and changes the marketing strategy to actively explore new coal and non-coal clients with demands for transport services. Upholding a client-centered philosophy, the company maintains efficient communication with clients throughout the entire transport process, and adopts a client manager accountability system to provide tailored services such as market analysis and freight charge calculation. Under the premise of compliance, it has constantly simplified the business workflow, which allows all procedures ranging from client contact and agreement signing to coal loading and shipping to be completed within 24 hours.
This practice is expected to further expand the company’s marketing layout in the railway transport market, optimize marketing and transport structure, diversify supply modes, strengthen loss control in the transport process, and accelerate construction of the sales system, thus blazing a new path for Xinshuo Railway to upgrade its transport marketing methods.
