On October 9, 2022, marked by the shipment of 71,900 tons of coal from Taboneo Port in Indonesia to the unloading port of DTP Chaozhou Power Plant in Guangdong, China, CHN Energy Shipping Company successfully completed the first foreign trade voyage in 24 days. Another steady pace was taken towards the grand blueprint for shipping internationalization.
On September 15, 2022, the ship set sail from Gaolan Port in Zhuhai City to Taboneo Port in Indonesia, starting its first foreign trade voyage. Compared with domestic shipping routes, international shipping routes are characterized by strict port inspection, high standards of cabin inspection, complex route design, rampant pirate activities, and grim pandemic prevention & control situations. To actively tackle the new situations during this voyage, the company took multiple measures to ensure operation efficiency and voyage security.
CHN Energy Shipping Company emphasized precise operation and management, reduced costs and improved efficiency, pooled all resources in the shortest possible time, and made sure all kinds of marine supplies and materials (such as chart data, fuel oil and lubricating oil) were adequately equipped. With voyage route scientifically planned, crew members were properly designated to keep highly alert in the course of voyage. Navigational speed and fuel consumption were monitored at all times, resulting in the lowest fuel consumption under the premise of normal speed. Through refined control measures, this voyage successfully took 2.8 days on loading operation and 3 days on unloading operation.
In view of the severe pandemic prevention & control situations, the company made thorough arrangements, implemented strict measures, and achieved satisfying results in international navigation areas.
