The first China Petrochemical Industry ESG Summit Forum was held in Beijing on December 27, 2020. The event released the ESG (environment, social and governance) evaluation standards for listed companies in China’s petroleum and chemical industries and the 2019 ESG ranking of Chinese listed petrochemical companies. China Shenhua Energy Co., Ltd. was the only company rated as AAA, topping the ranking list.
China Shenhua attaches great importance to ESG, upholds the corporate philosophy of promoting professionalism and putting people first, and actively fulfills its social responsibility. To advance digital ESG governance, it has formulated relevant management measures, refined evaluation criteria, and built an information system. It also innovates communication methods, pays attention to hot topics, and ensures accurate information disclosure to facilitate communication with stakeholders via various channels. Its efforts in ESG have won wide recognition and praise from the public and industry insiders.
The 2020 China Petrochemical Industry ESG Summit Forum was jointly organized by China National Chemical Information Center and China Chengxin Green Finance Technology (Beijing) Co., Ltd. (CCXGF), with the theme of “Focusing on the New Normal of ESG, Building a New Future for Green Petrochemicals.” The event aimed to review the latest policies and reshape the evaluation system for listed companies in the petrochemical industry from the global perspective.
