On December 6, China Association of Construction Enterprise Management released the list of projects winning 2020-2021 National Quality Engineering Award. Two projects of China Shenhua Energy Company Limited (China Shenhua), including the reconstruction and expansion of the equipment and maintenance center of Zhungeer Energy, a subsidiary of China Shenhua, and the Yellow River Grand Bridge on the Huangda Railway, won the award.
Established in 1981, the National Quality Engineering Award is the earliest and the highest-level national quality engineering award confirmed by the State Council to commend quality projects in the engineering and construction field covering multiple industries and disciplines.
The reconstruction and expansion of Zhungeer Energy's equipment and maintenance center is mainly responsible for the maintenance of large-scale machinery and equipment at Zhungeer Energy's Heidaigou Open-cut Coal Mine and Haerwusu Open-cut Coal Mine. The 30-unit project began construction in September 2012 and was completed and put into use on November 28, 2016. It meets the maintenance needs of electrical and mechanical equipment required for the production of 60 million tonnes of raw coal a year.
The Yellow River Grand Bridge is a key project on the Huangda Railway of the Shuohuang Railway. With a total length of 8996.11 meters, the project started in July 2014 and was completed and put into operation in December 2019.
