China Shenhua’s logo consists of five geometric graphics which represents the integrated four-to-one development model of coal, electricity, railway, port. Five geometric graphics, which are solid and strong, represent the powerful economic strength of the company and the pragmatic, pioneering and excellence-seeking entrepreneurial spirit, as well as the rigorous and pragmatic style of operation. Four geometric graphics form a carrack in an organic manner, symbolizing that the Company rides the wind and waves, and goes ahead bravely without looking back in the tide of market economy, and also implying the smooth development of the Company. The red box at the upper side seems like a red flag fluttering in the wind, and also like a piece of burning coal, symbolizing Shenhua's operation pattern, which is coal-based and all-round development of other industries driven by coal. The use of red and black reflects the intrinsic essence of the company to develop the basic energy industry.

As for the scientific concept, it refers to insisting on people-oriented and pursuing the coordinated, sustainable and healthy development. As for the harmony, it refers to creating a harmonious atmosphere within the enterprise, between the enterprise and the society, and between the enterprise and the Nature, and creating a stable environment with internal affinity and external influence. Concept for safety performance: zero fatality rate in the mines, no excessive methane at the time of production, and excessive methane while mining means accident. 
Shenhua is a coal-based energy enterprise. The enterprises thereunder should link with practice, profoundly understand and develop the scientific connotation and denotation of “two concepts”, sum up the essence of characteristic safety performance, raise the consciousness of safety, conduct the safety practice at every possible point to realize the objectives of building intrinsic safety enterprise.
